Tom J Newell is an artist, illustrator, record collector and turntable tinkerer, with a client list through his intricately hand-drawn artworks that includes Madlib, MF DOOM, Silver Apples, and SpongeBob SquarePants.

For his 'Excursions' show residency with Mondo Radio, Tom spins a vinyl-only selection carefully pieced together from his record collection each month, presenting a musical tapestry of boombap beats and original breaks, cut with psychrock oddities, and with exclusive music and chats from occasional special guests dropping in.
